ABCustoms Air Intake for VW Jetta MK2 Facelift 3-Rib Grille
I designed this air intake specifically for the Volkswagen Jetta MK2 Facelift with the 3-rib grille. The component replaces the original closed plate in the grille and uses the existing position to direct fresh air into the engine compartment.
Plug & Play Installation in the Original Grille
The air intake clips directly into the original grille mounts. No complex modifications are necessary – installation occurs at the position where the closed cover sits from the factory.
70 mm Hose Connection for Targeted Fresh Air Routing
The integrated 70 mm connection allows for targeted redirection of the incoming air. This means fresh air can be directed, for example, towards the carburetor, air filter, or individual throttle body system – depending on the individual setup.
Functional Design with OEM-like Integration
The intake sits subtly in the grille and integrates cleanly into the original appearance of the Jetta MK2. At the same time, it creates functional airflow without significantly altering the exterior of the grille.
Material & Manufacturing
The air intake is manufactured in-house from carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The material offers high rigidity, low weight, and a robust surface for use in automotive applications.
