Plug-and-Play Airbox Lid for Opel Astra G Z20LEX – Short Intake Path

This custom-made airbox lid for the Opel Astra with Z20LEX enables the popular short intake path without time-consuming modifications: The unnecessarily long charge air piping over the valve cover is eliminated – no more fiddling with multiple original parts. The lid is fully designed and can be installed plug & play in combination with the lower part of the 1.9 diesel box, so you can quickly and cleanly convert to a more direct intake path.

Material & Manufacturing

Installation Instructions & Care

• Easy to attach and secure at the original mounting points – ideal for workshop or home conversion.
• Mounting Note: The lid is made of technical plastic – do not overtighten it. Only hand-tighten the screws to avoid tension.
• In case of high thermal load, a brief visual inspection is recommended after continuous hot operation (e.g., track day).
• For a 90mm MAF, the sensor from the Audi RS4 B5 should be used. The sensor housing only needs to be minimally machined to ensure everything fits with sufficient clearance. OEM reference number: 077 133 471 K
• For aluminum additions, I recommend my new intake for Astra G or Astra G as a fresh air supply to the airbox.
