Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5 Air Ducts

The ABCustoms air ducts channel fresh air from the front lip directly to the wheel arch of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5. This effectively supplies the braking system with cool air – ideal for track days and sporty road driving.

Plug & Play Installation

The air ducts are installed 1:1 using the original mounting points. No adjustments, no drilling – everything fits perfectly to the existing attachment points.

Variants

  • OEM Variant: Based on the original design for subtle aesthetics and function.
  • Heavy-Duty Variant: Optimized airflow, perfectly matched to the ABCustoms Heavy Duty Brake Cooling – maximum air supply for the racetrack.
  • NOTE: Both variants are designed to accommodate a large oil cooler.

Material & Workmanship

Made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFK-Compound) – lightweight, robust, and temperature-resistant. Developed and produced in-house at ABCustoms.

Performance Tested

In a direct comparison, without brake cooling vs. with ABCustoms Brake Cooling (Air Ducts + Heavy Duty Brake Cooling), a temperature reduction of up to 20°C on the brake caliper and 80°C on the brake disc was measured. Simple installation with a noticeable effect on the track!

Usage Note

These air ducts do not have a parts certificate (Teilegutachten) or ABE (General Operating Permit). Therefore, they are not approved for use on public roads and are exclusively intended for racing or use on closed tracks.
